Reset your KOS Studio

Overview

If you need to reset KOS Studio to its default state, you can do so by deleting the application’s data directory. This process will remove all custom settings, configurations, and cached data, returning the application to its initial installation state.

Data Directory Locations

The KOS Studio data directory is located in different paths depending on your operating system:

Reset Instructions

Close KOS Studio completely before proceeding
Navigate to the appropriate directory for your operating system (see locations above)
Delete the entire kosStudio directory
Restart KOS Studio - it will recreate the directory with default settings

Troubleshooting

If you cannot locate the data directory:

Ensure hidden files and folders are visible in your file manager
Check that you’re looking in the correct user profile directory
On Windows, you can type %USERPROFILE% in the File Explorer address bar to navigate directly to your user folder
